This is a regularly scheduled transmission of Russian sourced, English language, numbers station ENIGMA ID E07, also called the "English Man". This transmission is interesting as it contains a major error starting at about 10:15 in the video. The transmission, in the middle of the 92nd (of 98) five digit code groups stops, and the callup sequence restarts, from the very beginning of the transmission. This goes on for a little while, then the audio goes back to the code groups. It does not pick up where it left off (at the 92nd code group) but rather goes to the 82 code group and restarts. This frequency, 12158 kHz, in USB mode, is used every Tuesday and Friday, in the month of December, at 1540 UTC. The schedule uses the same time and days in other months, but changes the frequency. The callup is "841 841 841 1". The "841" is the slot ID and the "1" indicates that there will be a message sent. In the event that there was no traffic to pass, "000" would be sent in place of the "1". Although the signal was heard at my location in the Mojave Desert of California, it was not very strong, so this video was recorded online using the University of Twente WebSDR, NL, on 07 February, 2025, at 1540 UTC.
