40's Weekend At Chasewater Railway in 2023:

This annual weekend event was somewhat marred by some very wet weather on the Saturday. Sunday however, despite scattered showers enjoyed a few bright sunny spells which led to fortunately increased visitor numbers. Plenty of support as always from military re enactors and those who dressed the part to create the 40's atmosphere. Not forgetting the Chasewater volunteers who put in the time and effort to set up the event. The Aston Manor Road Transport Museum (based at nearby Aldridge) provided a free shuttle service to and from Brownhills with former BCT 1950 Leyland PD2 which features seperately in my next video.
