This is the last video of my Unity-Prototype series. Time to start something new. This video features my Soft-Mesh Vehicle Damage System, which works with almost any vehicle in Unity with minimum setup. I've used FREE models from Sketchfab to test stability. Here's a compilation of damage and destruction. :) Depending on the vert count, this system works on PC and Mobile (30 - 60 fps). THIS IS NOT A GAME FOR DOWNLOAD. IT IS A PLAYABLE INTERNAL PROTOTYPE. THIS WILL NOT BE RELEASED TO THE PUBLIC. THE SOURCE IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD. Unity's PhysX was used for the physics backend. This was a study on optimizing real-time geometry deformation and vehicle simulation. It is not planned to be sold as an asset on the asset store. Licensing is also discontinued. NOTE: These Sketchfab models are not designed for deformation and damage. As a result, some do not have parts like axles, separated lights/doors, trunks, hoods, etc. In addition, the geometry is not optimized for deformation, which causes it to look distorted in some areas.
