Dr. K. Praveen Parboteeah—is a professor of management, the chair of our Management Department, and the Program Director for UW-Whitewater's DBA program. That's the Doctorate of Business Administration, and if you haven't heard of it, you're not alone. Unlike a traditional PhD, the DBA is designed for people who are already deep into their careers—VPs, consultants, executives—people who want to combine their real-world experience with rigorous research and take their leadership to the next level. It's a relatively new program here at UWW, just entering its 12th year, and frankly, it's pretty bold. So, we wanted to sit down with Praveen and ask: What IS a DBA? Who's it for?
