Yamaha Silent Guitar SLG110N - Shape of My Heart (cover)

Demo of Yamaha SLG110N. Cover of "Shape of My Heart" (music written by Sting and Dominic Miller). I created this video (my first) to showcase the Yamaha SLG110N. I bought this guitar recently as I am working away from home for a few months and wanted something portable and suitable for hotels (whilst not compromising on sound quality). As this guitar has no "body", you need to amplify it (line out), or connect headphones (dedicated headphone output). This guitar has so far ticked all the boxes for me. It plays very well and sounds excellent directly through headphones (I have been using Grado SR80i - very natural sounding, a great match for this guitar). I also tried it through an AER Compact 60 Amp - again, very good. It will not compete with more expensive traditional classical guitars, but I think this guitar is great value and has brought me back to playing A LOT in the last month. Hope you find this useful. Gear used: Yamaha SLG110N (still with factory strings). Recorded via Apogee Jam into Macbook Air, with Photo Booth & FaceTime Camera. No additional effects added (only the guitar's built-in reverb effect).
