It is with joy that the town of Saintes welcomed the 63rd SAINT-SYLVESTRE CAVALCADE. Nearly thirty-two thousand people gathered for this unmissable December 31st tradition. The Starabiala fanfare came from Poland with its ensemble of dancers, the eliXir company from Vichy, our musician friends from the Kalimba drum lights group from Spain without forgetting a group of dancers from Colombia, as well as the Saintais brightened up the hustle and bustle of the city center to a tune of Brazilian salsa, a carnival theme. The New Year’s Eve cavalcade is a unique event in France; The volunteers work hard to make the show magical and festive. So the public is dazzled despite the cold, won over and impatient to return to this traditional event every year. I thank all the partners for participating in the production of the report.
