👉FREE Ear Training Cheat Sheet For Guitar Players → https://www.jonmaclennan.com/goldenear Here’s one of the most annoying things about every ear training program I’ve ever seen or taken... And I think this is part of the reason why most guitarists never develop their ears the way they should. My ear training journey started with an app. (Just like 99.9999% of programs today.) I practiced each morning for 30 mins with this software, and it randomly played notes from a piano sound. But this was boring. And, I was making mistakes in my practice that were blocking my progress. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize this until years later. From there, I went on to music university. The instructors at university talked about intervals, and hearing pitch relationships. After college, I kept going... ... I continued buying more and more courses to keep studying on my own, but the problem was... THEY WERE ALL TAUGHT FROM PIANO! I was a GUITARIST, not a PIANIST. All these methods don’t care what instrument you play. You’re forced to learn ear training – from the piano. And, yes, theoretically, if you can hear it on piano, the same skills transfer over to any instrument. But this was a hurdle to get over. None of them made transferring the information to guitar easy. In fact, I didn’t do it! I often just practiced it on piano. I couldn’t really “SEE” how it worked on guitar. Yet, if you’re a guitarist and you want to: Understand intervals Hear the pitch relationships FROM YOUR INSTRUMENT Figure out guitar parts to songs Learn theory and how chords are built Don’t you think working with a method TAUGHT ON GUITAR would be better for you? Sure, you can visualize a major 2nd interval on the piano as two keys close to one another. But, on the fretboard, that’s going to look very different. When I created my program, Play By Ear, I wanted to close the gap on this issue. I wanted to create the world’s only complete ear training method – FOR GUITAR PLAYERS. No more piano sounds... No more transfer this over later... No more keyboard talk... I wanted it all broken down on 6-strings.
