Butterscotch flavour is the king of flavours. When you melt sugar it becomes caramel. When you add butter to caramel it becomes butterscotch. If you add chopped dry nuts to it and grind, it will become praline. If you add milk or cream to butterscotch then it becomes butterscotch sauce. Making a butterscotch cake with all the original flavours of butterscotch, without any artificial flavors, was a challenge. Usually butterscotch cake is a vanilla sponge base cake with praline and butterscotch sauce added to icing or topping. Here we made an original butterscotch base cake with a prominent butterscotch flavour by adding praline and sauce to cake batter itself, it was tough to get a correct proportion, still we succeeded... So this is our butterscotch cake for you. Without any added artificial flavors or colours.
