Shot on-location in Joshua Tree, CA and on the road in Arizona, this video is a reworking of their original video featuring their song, ALLAH HOO using the new recording of the track off their 2017 CD release, WIND HORSE. https://barakamoon.lnk.to/windhorse BARAKA MOON's all-original music ignites from the ancient Qawaali Sufi trance songs, Indian classical ragas, Middle Eastern overtones and African percussion, plus the Australian Aboriginal didgeridoo. Sukhawat Ali Khan's energetic music signature springs from ancient traditions. Sukhawat is the 12th generation of an unbroken lineage of master Pakistani and Indian vocalists. He can blend classical North Indian and Pakistani music into spellbinding cross-cultural ragas. Sukhawat’s thrilling voice comes straight from the heart, and he can wail on the harmonium like a blues harp. Stephen Kent is acknowledged as one of the contemporary world's pioneer virtuosos on the Australian Aboriginal didgeridoo. During a twenty-year career with the didgeridoo, Stephen has developed an approach that is unmistakably his own, exploring a remarkable range of musical genres. He has twenty critically acclaimed CD’s, including five solo releases to his credit. Peter Warren and Anastasi Mavrides bring their distinctive melodic and driving dance elements to the mix. Peter is a world music drummer who has performed with musicians from West Africa, India, and Pakistan for over 20 years. Guitarist, Anastasi is a musician and producer of many musical styles and media. He performs in several Bay Area world music ensembles and has toured with the Beach Boys.
