This charming pallet wood display rack was made from pallet wood and a bit of scrap red oak that was salvaged from the pile of pallet wood carcasses I rummaged through a few weeks back. The red oak was used for the door handle and rack hooks. I have a couple of old firearms that need a home. I wanted something that looked like it could be found on the wall of my grandparents' cabin. but also easily modified if you wanted to use it for hats, fishing poles, etc. I spent a couple of days learning sketchup to help me better visualize what i wanted. And I am happy how it turned out. I ebonized the hooks and handle with Iron Acetate (steel wool + vinegar). I made a short showing how I made it. To see how I made the hooks check out my YouTube Short. I'm trying to reach 500 subs by the end of the year. I would love it if you were one of those subs. Maybe leave a like of you enjoyed your time. It goes a long way to supporting the channel. I will eventually have a way to put up plans for those who want them. But until then... ROUGH DIMENSIONS: 19 ½ in wide @ the cabinet 6 11/16 deep from the cabinet door to the back. Rails are approx 25 ⅞ long x 2 ¼ wide. Spaced approx 13 11/16 apart. Cabinet opening height approx 3 ⅝ x 18 ¼ wide x 5 ⁷/¹⁶ deep. Music by Creatormix.com #woodworking #diy #handmade
