Having to compare two lists of items in Excel is a very common task regardless of the industry you work in. In this video, we will explore seven ways of comparing two lists in Excel by looking at how we can get: -the common items in the two lists -the items that only exist in one of the tables -all the items in one list and the corresponding information from the second list (table) for items that exist in the two tables -the complete list of all the items in the two tables with all the existing information in either of the tables the list of the items that are not common to the two tables. These results are obtained by using Dynamic Array functions and include the Excel Functions: FILTER, COUNTIFS, LET, VSTACK, HSTACK, XLOOKUP, SORT, UNIQUE. _________________________________ Learn how to AUTOMATE YOUR EXCEL REPORTS in minutes instead of hours without copy-paste or coding: https://snapreportschamp.com/course Get this ready-to-use Excel solution for 2 and 3 columns of Dependent Dropdown Lists: https://solveandexcel.ca/dynamic-depe... _________________ Subscribe to my NEWSLETTER for exciting news about the Excel world: https://bit.ly/learnfromcelia Celia Alves - Microsoft MVP & Certified Excel Expert, Solutions Developer Chapters: 0:00 – Introducing the challenge to solve in this video 3:10 – Celia introduces herself and the training programs she offers 3:50 – The seven types of merge join kinds in Power Query 5:28 – Explaining the two data sets to compare 6:38 – Left Anti Merge (to extract names only) 8:49 - Right Anti Merge (to extract names only) 9:30 – Full Anti Merge (to extract names only) 11:10 - Inner Merge (to extract names only) 13:07 - Left Outer Merge (to extract names from Table 1 and information from matching names in Table 2) 15:43 - Right Outer Merge (to extract names from Table 2 and information from matching names in Table 1 ) 18:08 - Full Outer Merge (to list all the names from both Tables and include the extra information available for each name in both tables.) 25:30 - Left Anti Merge (to extract names and all the extra information available for those names) 26:48 - Right Anti Merge (to extract names and all the extra information available for those names) 27:20 - Full Anti Merge (to extract names and all the extra information available for those names) 29:36 - Inner Merge (to extract names and all the extra information available for those names) 33:08 - Left Outer Merge (to extract names from Table 1 and information from matching names in Table 2) 33:55 - Right Outer Merge (to extract names from Table 2 and information from matching names in Table 1 ) 234:49 - Full Outer Merge (to list all the names from both Tables and include the extra information available for each name in both tables.) 35:07 – Comparing Lists with Dynamic Array Functions vs with Power Query ________________________________ Learn how to AUTOMATE YOUR EXCEL REPORTS at https://snapreportschamp.com/course For Live training about Power Query check next classes scheduled: https://solveandexcel.ca/corporatetra...
