Creme De Mûre is a Blackberry liqueur which can be used to accentuate hundreds of cocktail recipes. The one I make is wine based, which to my mind makes a more complex, less sweet liqueur. The beauty of this recipe is that it will literally last years in your fridge and if you sterilize the bottle you store it in, it'll last indefinitely. Although it's wine based, you don't have to worry about the wine oxidizing (we pre-oxidize the wine with heat) and going off because we're making use of those oxidized flavors. That said, I still do recommend storing in the fridge, I've tried storing on a shelf and over time it will pick up off flavors. Also make sure to store in an airtight container. 🍸 Top tools we recommend 🥄 Antique Style Weighted Tin Set: https://amzn.to/2YnjvHH Barfly Measuring Cup Jigger: https://amzn.to/3j4jFfe Barfly Mixing Glass (17oz): https://amzn.to/3iP1DNv GE Pebble Ice Machine: https://amzn.to/3oRw2yl Large Hand Juicer: https://amzn.to/3GhI3GB Y Peelers: https://amzn.to/3jDOASh Our Glassware in Collaboration Amehla 🍸 Nick and Nora Cocktail Coupes https://amzn.to/3oJKtHw 🥃 Old Fashioned Glass Heavy Base https://amzn.to/2Yuv42Q Full Store https://www.amazon.com/shop/theeducat... 00:00 Teaser 00:10 Skippable Intro 00:25 What's the comment this time? 00:42 The long running joke 00:53 Creme de Mure 01:34 Recipe starts here guys! 04:27 And after you made it? Add 5 Cups (900g) of Blackberries to a large bowl and mash them up with a Potato Masher. You want to break up the berries until they're the consistency of Jam. 2. Add in 1 bottle (750ml) of Medium Bodied Red Wine such as Syrah, Merlot or Sangiovese. 3. Cover the wine and berry mixture with a breathable cloth and place in a cool dry place for 48 hours. 4. Next fine strain the liquid discarding the solids. 5. Put the wine mixture into a medium sized pot and add 1.5 Cups (300g) of sugar. DO NOT BOIL or you will burn off the alcohol! Just heat the mixture up enough fully incorporate the sugar 6. Take off heat and allow to cool. 7. Once cooled add in between 1/2 to 3/4 Cup Vodka or Gin. I usually use Gin as it makes for a much more flavorful Liqueur. 8 Enjoy!s
