Total grind but awesome hike, summit of Burger Peak via the Forsyth Trail in the Pine Valley Mountains of Southwestern Utah. So this hike was longer than I recalled, round trip came out to about thirteen miles. Six and half miles pretty much straight up, a couple gradual sections but you're certainly gonna breathe on this one. We hit this in mid October so the weather was perfect, calm with hardly any wind. Beautiful Fall colors. Cold starting out and on top of summit. We encountered no severe weather on this trip, that was a nice change since our last two peak bagging trips had intense weather involved. We went up the Forsyth trail and returned the same way, easy enough. Brought our dog, had no problems. You do have to go off trail and wander a bit through the forest to get to Burger Peak. While doing just that we stumbled across a nice slotty section up in the rock that lead to a small cave, interesting little side trip! The great thing about Burger Peak summit is that it's not covered in trees so you get a great view! Check out these Peak Bagging trips with severe weather, links below!!
