In particular in this first EP the music composition and arrangements and also a bit the singer performance is an almost freezing "back to life" of the beloved Jon and his Dissection (Rest In Chaos Bro). The original press have got a mid production that don't let enjoy fully the talents of this band. With this tributre 2016 remaster version done by a band fan that ahve any kind of rights on this EP, so is just a tribute sample, no for commercial purpose (the band could send to this YT channel a message if don0't like that this work is also shared for free, and it will be immediately removed) in a professional music production and recording studio so called for the metal and similar music works "Inanna Studio" (Italy, Mantua area). The difference from the original is pretty huge and here also the "recall" to the Dissection sound and atmosphere is cleary listeable and very enjoyable for who has got the look as me to follow this Miliar Stone of Swedish Black and later Black/Death Metal with a forefront, a damn musician jenious, passionate, and pro player (a lot of fans often remember him with the friendly comment "the Black Metal Perfectionist" sentence, to underline his singular talent that overall emerges from the BM scene in a period where the 2nd wave of black metal was almost get to its end, many "Big" start to release more "quite" albums and a lot of Underground Bands was release almost in loop and in a numbers of 3-4 full lenght/Ep/Split BM 2nd wawe at least to say of crappy quality, so boring in the musical composition, all the bands copy each other and in the worst manner, and also 99% of times was all material recorded on MC tape with a quality of production that is far long more than raw...shit. So Dissection in 97-98 with 2 masterpieces of full leght in theyr shoulder literally smash this situation bringing ne enthusiasm and creeps in the BM field. For BM fanatics and passionates and for this music fields in general. No one will be again Jon Nodeveit, but anyway, there is still today pretty BM bnands that deserves cares and in the "melodic black/death" old style there are also of course IN MY EMBRACE. Check out their first full leght released just this year entitled "Black Waters Deeps". In this album they start to left a bit the initial insiration to some classic Black/death melodic band and begin to focused more in write and arrange a so cool Black/Death of clear Swedish "flag" with their own abilities and sorta personal "trademark" cleary sound in this genre. They are a very promising band. Enjoy this masterpoiece and buy their albums if uyou like them and want really to support them = get to them a real opportunities to go on in their music job and so bring us other new release and I think live gigs in the next years.
