The Road to Hell is the tenth studio album by English singer-songwriter Chris Rea. It was released in 1989 and is Rea's most successful studio album. It topped the UK album charts for three weeks,[2][3] and was certified 6x Platinum by BPI until 2004.[4] The second part of the two-part title track, "The Road to Hell (Pt. 2)", is also one of Rea's most famous songs Rea recalls that he had a lot of trouble with the album due to the record company, and "recorded the next album – Auberge – before, as an agreement with Warner Brothers. So if Road To Hell didn’t work – and they said it won't – we would jump straight away to Auberge and forget about it. Of course, the beginning to "Road To Hell" is a gospel blues thing. Warner Brothers went, ‘This is going to be over in five minutes’. But I did stand me ground, and it went No.1 LYRICS Stood still on a highway I saw a woman by the side of the road With a face that I knew like my own, reflected in my window Well, she walked up to my quarter light and she bent down real slow A fearful pressure paralysed me in my shadows She said: Son, what are you doing here? My fear for you has turned me in my grave I said: Mama, I come to the valley of the rich, myself to sell She said: Son, this is the road to hell On your journey 'cross the wilderness from the desert to the well You have strayed upon the motorway to hell Well, I'm standing by a river but the water doesn't flow It boils with every poison you can think of Then I'm underneath the streetlights, but the light of joy I know Scared beyond belief way down in the shadows And the perverted fear of violence chokes a smile on every face And common sense is ringing out the bells This ain't no technological breakdown, oh no, this is the road to hell And all the roads jam up with credit and there's nothing you can do It's all just bits of paper flying away from you Look out world, take a good look what comes dawn here You must learn this lesson fast and learn it well This ain't no upwardly mobile freeway Oh no, this is the road, this is the road, this is the road to hell chitoliro kèn xắc xô phôn pūtohe sacsafón sacsoffon saks saksafon saksafoni saksofon saksofonas saksofoni saksofono saksofons saksofoon saksopon sassofono Saxofoi saxofon saxofón saxófón saxòfon saxofone saxofoon Saxophon saxophone کے szakszofon σαξόφωνο Сакс саксафон саксофон սաքսոֆոն საქსაფონი サクソフォン סאַקסאָפאָן סקסופון ساكسفون ساکسیفون किल्ल्या असलेले एक वायुवाद्य सैक्सोफोन স্যাক্সোফোন સેક્સોફોન சாக்ஸபோன் శాక్సోఫోన్ ಸ್ಯಾಕ್ಸೋಫೋನ್ แซ็กโซโฟน ស្រឡៃ 색소폰 萨克管 薩克管 best saxophone covers of popular songs top sax cover
