Watch The Full DeFranco News Show: https://www.youtube.com/defranco?sub_... since that clip began making rounds in the internet, we have since gotten some more information about the incident. State police have now identified the man as 27-year-old Randal Worcester of Goose Creek, South Carolina.According to the Associated Press, jail booking information indicates that Wore-Chester is white, with the outlet noting that “the three officers involved also appear to be white.” And as for what happened in the lead-up to the video, the local news station KSFM-TV reported that Crawford County Sheriff Jimmy Damante said police had been “called about a man making terroristic threats to a convenience store employee.” With the outlet adding that Wore-Chester “allegedly spit on the employee and threatened to ‘cut off their face.’” After that, the Sheriff said Wore-Chester rode a bike to another location, where he was met by two Crawford County deputies. Per the Sheriff’s account, the interaction between the four men first started out as calm, and Wore-Chester handed them a pocket knife. But then he allegedly began attacking one of the deputies, pushing him to the ground and punching him in the back of the head, which the Sheriff claimed is what lead to what was seen in the video. And according to state police, Wore-Chester was sent to the hospital before being released into the custody of a county jail. He currently faces multiple criminal charges. Notably here, KSFM-TV also reported that Wore-Chester “has a prior battery on a police officer charge in Oklahoma from 2021,” according to the prosecutor’s office. Now, as far as the officers in the video, in a Facebook post just this morning, the Crawford County Sheriff's Office identified them as “Deputy Zack King, Deputy Levi White and Mulberry Officer Thell Riddle.” And yesterday, after the footage started gaining a ton of traction and backlash on social media yesterday, we saw relevant law enforcement agencies responding quickly. In a statement on Facebook, Sheriff Damante said he had requested that the Arkansas State Police conduct the investigation and that “the Deputies have been suspended pending the outcome of the investigation,” adding: “I hold all my employees accountable for their actions and will take appropriate measures in this matter.” The Mulberry Police Department also issued a separate statement saying that the officer involved in the incident had been put on administrative leave pending an investigation by state police, continuing: “The City of Mulberry and the Mulberry Police Department takes these investigations very seriously and holds all their officers accountable for their actions. We will take the appropriate actions at the conclusion of the investigation.” Now, as far as what happens next, the Arkansas State Police confirmed last night that they have now opened a use-of-force investigation into the officers and will submit their findings to the Crawford County prosecutor: “who will determine whether the use of force by the law enforcement officers was consistent with Arkansas laws.” But that’s pretty much where we are for now, and we’ll just have to wait and see what comes of this investigation. —————————— Produced by: Cory Ray Edited by: James Girardier, Julie Goldberg, Maxwell Enright Art Department: William Crespo Writing/Research: Philip DeFranco, Production Team: Zack Taylor, Emma Leid ———————————— #DeFranco #Police #ViralVideo
