Presenting our journey to Castle Peak as our New Year Vlog to you all.Happy New Year 2023 everyone! Keep hiking,stay positive and do what you love doing.Castle peak or PUI TO SHAN in chinese is one of the three sharp peaks of HongKong and at 583 metres,it is the tallest among them.It is a very steep ascent to the ponty radio towers that sits alomg the beautiful ridge over looking the Tuen Mun region and western New Territories. Castle peak hike is both challenging and scenic at the final section.The trail via Tsing Shan Monastery is shorter bit steeper.This trail is also rife with historical significance as it is widely considered the birthplace of Buddhism i HongKong after the establishment of a Buddhist Monastery in the foothills of this mountain which now is a present day Tsing Shan Monastery.
