This episode explores whether Old Testament laws conflict with the New Testament, what happened to Joseph, the father of Jesus, the identity of the giants in Scripture, the gift of tongues, where Jesus was crucified, whether angels can still sin, and more. Open your Bible and join the conversation! Send us your Bible Questions! By email: BibleQA@3abn.org 1. If God’s moral law is unchanging, why did the Old Testament permit practices like slavery (Exodus 21) and capital punishment for certain offenses while the New Testament seems to overturn or ignore them? Do Old Testament laws conflict with the New Testament? 2. What happened to Joseph, the father of Jesus? Why isn't he mentioned in the rest of the gospel? Did he die, or did he divorce his wife, Mary? 3. Does the Bible talk about giants walking the earth? If so, who or what are they talking about? 4. In Job 14:22, who does “his” refer to, the dead or the sons? 5. Why do we no longer celebrate Pentecost? 6. In Luke 8, why did Jesus grant the demons’ request to enter the pigs? It seems like an act of mercy toward them, yet Satan does not show mercy to humanity—whether we are children of God or not. Why did Jesus allow the demons to enter the pigs? 7. Where was Jesus crucified? I’ve heard it was on the Mount of Olives, in direct view of the holy place. If so, is that the same place as Golgotha? 8. Did God take a risk in sending Jesus to Earth, and did Jesus risk anything by coming? 9. My roommate and I were discussing the gift of tongues. She believes that the “unknown tongue” mentioned in 1 Corinthians 14 is a private, heavenly language directed to God and that even if it sounds like gibberish, the Holy Spirit gives it meaning. From my understanding of Scripture, tongues refers to actual human languages. Can you explain whether biblical tongues are known languages or unintelligible speech, and shed more light on 1 Corinthians 14:1–2 in this context? What does the Bible say about the gift of tongues? 10. Can angels still sin in Heaven? Why or why not? ➡️SUBSCRIBE https://bit.ly/3ABN_Subscribe 💗DONATE https://bit.ly/3ABN_Donate 📗FREE MONTHLY MAGAZINE https://bit.ly/3ABN_Magazine 🔗FACEBOOK / 3abn.org 🔗INSTAGRAM / 3abn_official 🔗TWITTER / 3abn 🔗WEBSITE https://3abn.org/ Help 3ABN keep streaming the gospel to the world.
