Note (in case you want some details): This is another version of my song, "That Funny Feeling." The "original" version of the song was sung by Suzy Nichols, who did an incredible job--especially with the addition of her amazing scatting. This version was recorded on the afternoon when the musicians were laying down the tracks prior to Suzy adding her vocals a few weeks later. Rich Dixon, the arranger of the song, asked Isabella (my youngest daughter, and known as "Isa" by her family) to do some practice vocals so the musicians and engineer could get a feel for the song. Isa, who always enjoys accompanying me to the studio, obliged and brought out her own beautiful take of the music. Incidentally, Rich, the guitarist, used my dad's pre-World War II Gibson for the guitar solos. My dad purchased this guitar from a pawn shop in Berkeley back in the 1950s when he was a mechanical engineering student at Cal.
