Rod Michael wrote and recorded along with producer/songwriter Corey Rooney, he recorded this demo in NYC in 2007 for Michael Jackson, while he was signed to Upfront (devyne stephens/Akon) and living in ATL. Rod Michael's words .... Michael Jackson also recorded this...and although he liked the records...he felt he had done these sounds before...and him being a pioneer and always evolving...I respect that...he turned down the 9 songs that pharrel williams wrote for him in 2002 that michael turned down for the same reason saying he had done that sound before.... and those songs became the classic "Justified" album that changed Justin Timberlake's own life....one man's trash can easily be another man's treasure...it's all a gamble...I'm sure mj kicked himself after rejecting all those hits....can you imagine michael singing "rock ur body" or "like i love you"? He would have killed it...but then again...everything happens for a reason and it was Justin's time and his prime...and I also agree with mike...it sounded a lot like his first album "Off the Wall" and michael was way over that sound in his mind...even though we fans love that michael sound...it's still my favorite Michael Jackson album Off The Wall - Rod Michael
