The trip will explore many of the best birding sites located in the southern section of the Ebro Delta. The morning itinerary will commence around the Isla de Buda nature reserve. This area initially offers us some great riverside woodland that we will explore before progressing to El Violi & L'Alfacada. An observation tower offers a fantastic vista over the river mouth and surrounding lagoons, teeming with waders and wildfowl. As the morning progresses we will spend some time on this Ebro Delta bird-watching adventure at the excellent Riet Vell bird observatory, perfect for those with an interest in close-up bird photography, with species such as Purple Swamp-hen and Water Rail in close proximity.
