Arriving in Moab, Utah in a 1965 Pontiac GTO convertible, and settling in the city after its engine failed, Dan Mick is a locally-recognized presence as owner of Dan Mick’s Guided Jeep Tours – exploring the red rock terrain of Canyonlands National Park on four wheels. Operating since 1992, Dan’s daily drives take visitors across the rugged, undulating landscape, navigating natural landmarks carved into the desert – carried by his natural storytelling, philosophies, and observations. Travelling to Utah in search of stories and characters, distanced from the political noise, filmmaker Jamie McCormack and cinematographer Joshua Fry connected with Dan after numerous conversations arrived at his name.
