Webinar: Developments in survey data to prioritise road marking maintenance spend

The increasing pace of change of technology developments in vehicles, particularly involving safety systems such as ADAS and lane keep assist, requires good quality road markings to operate effectively. The combination of rising road marking maintenance prices and increased budgetary constraints on councils and road authorities is forcing the prioritisation of what maintenance can get done. Yet despite this, CS-126 has been updated with specific requirements for inspection and assessment of road markings and studs. In this webinar, we discuss these challenges and how developments in survey technologies are providing authorities with more data and better quality data to inform these maintenance decisions and pinpoint where the priorities lie. With evidence gained from industry experience and technology advancements we highlight the path towards AI based predictive road marking maintenance.
