Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca: Complete Guide to the Beaches. (Mexico Travel Vlog)

We spent a month on the beautiful coast of Oaxaca along what is known as the 'Oaxacan Riviera'. We really fell in love with it because of it's low-key and laid back atmosphere and natural beauty. Puerto Escondido is, or is one of the two, largest cities on the coast of Oaxaca and still only has around 45,000 residents. It's a peaceful and beautiful place where it seems the local governments and residents have prioritized natural beauty and conservation over the big-money grab casinos and over-development that has spoiled far too many beautiful beach destinations around the world. We were so impressed with Puerto Escondido, and the whole coast of Oaxaca and highly recommend it. It's a wildlife paradise with an insane variety of sea turtles, birds, and more. It has miles and miles of coastline that are it's easy to get a huge slice of completely to yourself. That's rare to find and we did not want to leave this special place! In this video, we take you to all of our favorite beaches that are really easy to reach from the city center of Puerto Escondido, while stopping and eating at a few of our favorite restaurants along the way. Some of our favorites include Zicatela, La Punta, Punta Colorada, and more. We also were able to release some baby sea turtles with a non-profit based in Oaxaca and that was really life changing! During our time on Oaxaca's coast, we also visited Mazunte, San Agustinillo, Zipolite extensively and a few other places briefly. Stay tuned for more content on those locations!
