Piazzolla Zemsov Viola Quartet A. Piazzolla - Milonga del angel, Muerte del angel (arr. Evgeni Zemtsov), Zemtsov Viola Quartet, THEEHUIS VENRAY, 10/2011 Zemtsov Viola Quartet is an unique ensemble founded by four members of Zemtsov family (brothers Alexander and Mikhail, Julia-Mikhail's wife, and their daughter Dana). All of them have studied with the same teacher-great russian viola virtuoso Michael Kugel. Everyone of the quartet members developes a brilliant professional cariere- Mikhail is principal violist of the Hague Philharmonic and viola teacher at the Utrecht Conservatory, Julia is viola teacher at the Conservatories in Arnhem and Maastricht, Alexander is principal violist of The London Philharmonic Orchestra and viola teacher at the Guildhall School of Music and Vienna Conservatory, and Dana, who is still 18, is a winner of a handful of international competitions, amoung other "Musician of the Year-2010" organized by the Dutch Television. The debut of the Quartet took place in august 2010 during the prestigious Amsterdam Grachtenfestival (Festival on Canals) with overwelming succes and it was considered as one of the highlights of the festival. Many of the arrangements are made by the father of Mikhail and Alexander, composer Evgeni Zemtsov
