Here is a buried vhs tape that I found recently. I enjoyed watching the 1993 US Open from Baltusrol because it allowed me to see Payne Stewart again. This is Lee Janzen's first US Open victory. I also enjoy the ABC Sports coverage especially with Jim McKay, Brent Musburger, Peter Alliss, Peter Jacobsen, Jack Whitaker, Jack Nicklaus, Mark Rolfing, Jerry Pate, Judy Rankin, and Bob Rosburg. I also appreciate the love that is shown to Payne Stewart by the gallery throughout the day. New York fans say what is on their minds and when Payne was on the 14th hole expecting the ball to "kick straight" a fan shared an encouraging word. Paul Azinger on 16 tee shared a word too. This was a year that for the final round Jack Nicklaus was the color commentator with Jim McKay for most of the back 9. Nicklaus won the US Open back in 1980 at Baltusrol, and it was good to see him be encouraging and critical of play by the players. Thanks for watching The Knackered Golfist.
