Enbridge Gas completed a GIS transformation with UDC, moving from two GIS data models to one shared Utility Network platform. The team implemented ArcGIS Workflow Manager to support GIS editing workflows for distribution and transmission, as well as ArcGIS Pipeline Referencing for transmission. They overcame challenges, including securing hardware and evaluating third-party applications, and found ways to complete GIS tasks through data standardization and tool customization. This transformation enabled Enbridge to realize its vision of building a GIS to support Pipeline Safety.
