With 25 years of experience as a marine biologist specializing in marine, estuarine and coastal ecology, Marcos Hado has managed multidisciplinary programs for many government bodies including the Ministry of Environment, UNDP, and others. Marcos is a marine fanatic, and a world record holder, with a wide range of marine ecology topics including identification of essential fish habitat, artificial reefs, underwater habitat, protection and prevention of the Mediterranean Coast as well as fishing laws. Another core interest involves public outreach to educate children and adults on marine ecology issues through conferences, TV, and radio appearances. Marcos was appointed as an advisor to the minister of Environment between April 2019 and February 2020.
