Snubnose Revolvers can be a very good tool, provided you do your part to train and gain proficiency with them. By and large, I'd say they are not for a new shooter and even some intermediate level shooters. They are unforgiving with grip and trigger deficiencies . My suggestion is to learn to shoot full sized handguns well, including a sound grip and trigger press. It's not that a newer or less experienced shooter can't learn to shoot a smaller framed gun, it's just not fun if it's a fight. This may cause a shooter to not want to train. I've been in love with revolvers my whole life and wouldn't hesitate for a second to carry one.
