Jessore Sloth Bear Sanctuary is situated in the district of Banaskantha and it is almost 35 kms far from Palanpur. This forest spreads over 180 square kms and declared as sanctuary in May, 1978. The Jessore Hills falls under Arvalli Hills. Jessore Hills popularly known as sanctuary of sloth bear but it is less opportunity that you get that chance. But you can walk to up hill and visit Kedarnath Mahadev Temple which will take almost 30-40 minutes of walk from parking. When you visit this place, please make sure you will carry water and some food because here you will not get this kind of any facility until you reach to the temple. Moreover, you will only get water at Temple. This is so natural place but it gets so beautiful during monsoon and just after the monsoon. Here they not charge any money for entry ticket but you must have to register yourself before entering to the sanctuary area and it is mandatory.
