Today we’re taking the brand new Saab B 17A by IniBuilds up for a short aerobatic display over the new Kiruna Airport, which is included in World Update XV. I first heard about the Saab 17 through one of John Dibbs brilliant Flying Legends calendars when I was around 12-13 years old. It was a head on shot with the gear extended and I thought it's one of the ugliest aircraft I've ever seen. But over the years it has grown on me and I think with the gear up, it's actually a very pretty aircraft. And since it was Saabs first own aircraft design it's also quite special. So, I was super excited when it was announced a few weeks ago, I never expected to see it in a sim. On first impression it's a very good release. The visual model is stunning, with a ton of detail, especially the gear and engine stick out. The sounds are good too and the flight model feels convincing, nice and heavy. The only negatives I found aren't big deals. One is, that not every switch & lever is working and the other is that the external engine sounds are only audible if you're very close to the aircraft. But that'll only affect you in multiplayer sessions or if you want to do ground view shots. Overall, I'm quite happy with the Saab B 17 and I'm glad IniBuilds, Asobo & Microsoft brought it to the sim =) Hardware used: Ryzen 7 5800X 32GB RAM RTX 3080 00:00 Intro 00:55 Startup 02:40 Taxi 04:33 Runup 05:30 Takeoff 06:07 External Takeoff view 06:50 Climbing 08:00 Bomb Bay Doors 09:50 Aerobatic Display 16:18 Landing 16:58 External Landing View 17:30 Taxi 18:43 Shutdown 19:55 Spectator View Flybys
