उत्तरप्रदेश निवासी श्रीपाल मिश्रा 2 वर्ष की उम्र में बुखार आने के बाद पोलियोग्रस्त हो गए और एक पैर कमजोर हो गया और हाथ का सहारा लेकर ही चल पाता था। अपनी इस स्थिति के कारण उसे हर जगह उत्पीड़न भी झेलनी पड़ी और ना तो वह स्कूल जाकर पढ़ लिख पाया और ना कुछ कर पाया। निर्धन माता पिता ने कई प्रयास किये पर इलाज का खर्चा वहन ना कर पाने की वजह से श्रीपाल का इलाज नहीं हो सका। सालों बाद संस्थान आने पर श्रीपाल को ना सिर्फ इलाज मिला बल्कि उन्होंने निःशुल्क सिलाई प्रशिक्षण भी प्राप्त किया और अब वो संस्थान सिलाई विभाग में नौकरी करके पूर्ण रूप से आत्मनिर्भर बन चुका है। Uttar Pradesh resident Shri Pal Mishra contracted polio at the age of two after suffering from a fever, which weakened one of his legs, making him dependent on his hands for mobility. Due to his condition, he faced bullying everywhere and was unable to attend school or accomplish anything. His impoverished parents made numerous attempts for treatment, but due to their inability to bear the costs, Shri Pal could not receive the necessary medical care. Years later, upon arriving at the institute, Shri Pal not only received treatment but also underwent free sewing training.
