We have seen all sorts of massively expensive superprojects recently. It seems like everyone is eager to throw as much money as possible bringing forth their visions of what the future should look like. Most of these resemble Marvel’s Wakanda in either design or execution. The building of cool futuristic cities that are constructed in areas that are nigh impossible to live in. As insane as it sounds, there’s one project that’s even more ambitious than that. That’s because it’s a city in the one place on Earth no one has ever built a city on. That would be the ocean itself! That’s right, Saudi Arabia is constructing an enormous yacht-like vessel that will act as its own city. That would be the unbelievable floating metropolis that will be known as Pangeos. It looks like an enormous turtle floating on the ocean. While it looks unbelievable, there will be a lot about Pangeos that’s familiar. The city will have apartments, villas, parks, and all the amenities of home. It will also have more luxury items for those that can afford them. There are also the origins of this city’s design and name to consider. As this city looks to bring forth a wild new future, it also looks back upon the past.
