Meet the ARN seminar presenter for June 2025: Jonathan France! Jonathan shares the focus of the upcoming June 4 seminar as well as insights that participants will gain from attending. Context for the seminar: In June 2024, Athena Infonomics and associates were commissioned to evaluate and provide recommendations on the future of Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) Ghana's portfolio. The study was needed to help better align the British High Commission (BHC) Accra's work with the changing context of Ghana, government, and UK aid priorities, as well as new funding realities. Covering five distinct sectors and themes of aid intervention, as well as non-aid diplomacy and influencing work - as well as operating on a tight schedule to ensure that it could inform FCDO's business planning cycle - the portfolio evaluation provided a significant methodological challenge to the team. This seminar will explain how they met this challenge, the methods deployed as well as the transferable lessons from the evaluation for similar-sized portfolios and strategies."
