I’m an LA native with zero clue how to navigate New York City—but I came hungry. No itinerary. No TikTok list. Just vibes… and a MetroCard. In this video, I set out to experience NYC the only way I know how: by eating like the locals do. No frills, no reservations—just classic New York food from some of the city’s most beloved neighborhood spots. I may not know which train goes where, but I do know when something tastes 🔥. 🍽️ Here’s everywhere I ate on my NYC food crawl: 🥯 Sofia’s Bagels – Soft, chewy, and smothered in scallion cream cheese. 🥠 Mei Lai Wah – Legendary roast pork buns in the heart of Chinatown. 🍕 Joe’s Pizza – The perfect foldable slice? You tell me. 🌭 Hotdog Cart – Dirty water dog, done right. 🍷 Brookvin – A cozy Park Slope wine bar that turned out to be a surprise highlight. 🥔 Yonah Schimmel Knish Bakery – A LES staple for a reason. 🍰 Caffé Palermo – Cannoli game: strong. 🍳 La Bonbonniere – Greasy spoon heaven in the West Village. 🥟 Baba’s Pierogies – Pillowy pockets of perfection in Brooklyn. 🥧 Four & Twenty Blackbirds – Legit some of the best pie I’ve ever had. Getting lost was part of the fun—and so was accidentally taking the express train five stops too far. But in the end, I found my way through flaky crusts, crispy dogs, and endless carbs.
