Overcoming Hurdles of Life

There are three knots, also called the hurdles, in an individual’s life. These are Brahma granthi (knot), Vishnu granthi and Rudra granthi. The first knot is the knot of Brahma. Brahma signifies creation. The first hurdle of life is that a man wants to create something whether that is a legacy, children, name or a house. The man wants to create because the ego is so strong that no body wants to lose themselves. They want to remain forever, which is not possible. The hurdle is the desire, the urge to create. Everyone is born with nothing and they grow with the desire to create something so that it stays even after they have died. The second knot is the Vishnu granthi. Vishnu signifies the desire to sustain. Whatever we have, we don’t want to lose. An individual wants to keep with them what they have created, whether it is the money, youth, love, status or power. They want to keep creating and sustaining it. The third knot is the Rudra granthi. Rudra signifies Shiva. The third knot is the desire to destroy. A man wants to destroy what others have. Unfortunately that is why most humans suffer because they think that what they have, other should not have or that they have less than what others do.
