To kick-off my four days of working in Kakamega County, I attended an interfaith meeting at Serve International Church in Kakamega County. Together with the leadership of the Christian and Muslim faithful, we committed the work ahead to God. I hold fond memories of my experience in Kakamega, which culminated in the signing of the Church Agenda document that included 18 Imams. We must RISE UP; all of us across faiths are responsible for the rescue and care of the boy child, widows and orphans, and PWDs. The rehabilitation centres are not enough for the men who seek transformation. Let us open our places of worship—churches, mosques, and temples—and reach out to those in the streets with addictions. Present were First Lady Prof. Janet Barasa, Deputy Governor Ayub Savula, Bishop Dr. Mophat Kilioba, Sheikh Idris Luvale, Sheikh Ibrahim Sadala, and the leadership of the Association of Pentecostal and Evangelical Clergy of Kenya (APECK), which included Regional Director Bishop Caristas Baraza, Bishop Wanyama (Chair Busia), Bishop Waluku (Chair Bungoma), Apostle Sikoria (Chair Kakamega), and Rev. Ludecky (Chair Vihiga). #ADignifiedFuture
