La Torre de Hercules or Tower of Hercules is generally accepted as the oldest lighthouse in Europe and there is some debate as to whether it is the world's oldest lighthouse. It is a World Heritage Site and Spanish Property of Cultural Interest. It is situated 2.4 KM from the centre of the Spanish city of A Coruna in Galicia, north-western Spain.
