Our first holiday in Canggu, Bali. After years of visiting Seminyak, we were excited to visit.

We have been visiting Bali for many years now. We first started our trips whilst living in Perth, Australians the flight is only 3-4 hours. We have enjoyed Seminyak, the Gili Islands, Uluwatu and Nusa Dua but I wanted to check out Canggu. I actually wanted to see if this was a place I could actually live in for a few months of the year when my husband and I retire in the next 5 years. The weather is of course, perfect.. the traffic is horrendous but the lifestyle is so laid back and easy. I love that we can visit 5 Star hotels, resorts and restaurants or simple warungs and villas. All of which is in price range, unlike Sydney! My thoughts are that living in Bali for 3-6 months of the year would be a fantastic way to spend time. Where we visited: Atlas Beach Fest, Canggu The Lawn Beach Club, Canggu We stayed at: Villa Del Mar, Canggu - such a good value option!
