Rice Fryums(Vathal/Vadam) made in just 1 hour without Sunlight!! Making Vathal with Left Over Rice in Oven on the Same Day!! @authentic_tamilnadu Ingredients - Leftover Rice- 1 cup Chilli powder- 3/4 tsp(as needed) Salt- 1/4 tsp Cumin- 1/2 tsp Oil- for frying Steps- 1) Grind the first 4 ingredients together coarsely. 2) Spread parchment paper on a baking tray. 3) Divide the ground mixture into small pieces like shown in the video. 4) Broil(heat from the top) just for 5 minutes initially to make it rigid. 5) After 5 minutes of broil, fryums became slightly rigid & changed in color. 6) Now bake at 350F for 30 minutes(may need 5 to 10 minutes extra time depending on the oven) 7) The fryums became rigidly solid like the ones sun dried for 4 to 5 days within 45 to 60 minutes!!
