Sucheta Chapekar Founder, Kalavardhini Charitable Trust SUNDAY at 5:00 pm At sakal Lalit Kalaghar, Mukundnagar, Pune Vedanti Bagade: Vedanti Bagade daughter of Mr. Rahul Bagade and Mrs. Mayura Bagade has recently passed her CBSE Class 12 board exams from Millennium National School, Pune with flying colours. She aspires to pursue a career in Engineering. She started her artistic journey at the tender age of six. As she advanced in her training, her interest in Bharatnatyam has grown immensely. She has performed in various dance events conducted by Kalavardhini Nrityashala. Her strong desire, determination and consistent efforts brought her to this level. Creative arts is her passion. She is a very good artist and finds delight in listening to music and reading books. Samvita Hattangadi Samvita Hattangadi, daughter of Mr. Ravindra Hattangadi and Mrs. Sunita Hattangadi is currently studying in her first year of Bachelor of Arts at Modern College, Pune. She has an inclination towards foreign languages and aspires to pursue a career in German language. Samvita started her Bharatnatyam training at the young age of six. Since then she has performed various times on stage as a student of Kalavardhini. In addition to Bharatnatyam, she is fond of reading books and trying out other western dance forms such as contemporary and jazz. Dance has been an integral part of Samvita’s life for the past twelve years and has helped her evolve into the person she is today. Rama Kelkar Rama Kelkar, daughter of Mr. Prasad Kelkar and Mrs. Chitra Kelkar is currently studying in 12th std arts. She passed her 10th std from Sevasadan English Medium school. She started learning Bharatnatyam in kalavardhini at the age of 6 yrs. Apart from kalavardhini she has participated in various competitions of Bharatnatyam in last 4 years. In 2018 her group won 2nd prize in National level dance competition held in Solapur and she also won first prize in duet category in Bal Sangeet Mahotsav Pune. She adds to the talent her own thinking mind, poetic vision, creative approach and zealous hardworking capacity and you have Arundhati the accomplished dancer. Her dance is marked by graceful Nritta, eloquent Abhinay and lilting musicality which reaches the heart of the audience instantly. Apart from performing & choreography she has special flair for teaching and has been a visiting lecturer at the Center for Performing Arts, University of Pune. She is an active secretary of Kalavardhini Charitable Trust Pune, which works for promotion of classical dance. Arundhati has won the National Scholarship given by the Govt. of India for the advanced training in Bharatanatyam. Arundhati is recipient of central government fellowship for her research on dance sculptures in Maharashtra and bharatnatyam. Currently she is pursuing her PhD in Bharati Vidyapith. About The Program : Krishnarpan is a theme based presentation depicting different facets of Lord Krishna through traditional repertoire. Starting with Pushpanjali, an offering to Lord Krishna, followed by a Nritta composition Alaripu, presented by Rama and Samvita. Jatiswaram, a composition comprising dance on musical notes, presented by Vedanti and Rama. A beautiful Padam describing the mesmerizing sound of Lord Krishna's flute, presented by Vedanti and Samvita. Krishna Kautukam, a unique composition by our Param Guru Dr. Sucheta Chapekar, followed by three Padams, pure Abhinay pieces, depicting Vatsalya Bhav in three different languages. This will be followed by a composition, rightly called the joyous fantasy of pure dance, that is Tillana, in beautiful Raag Vrindavani. The program concludes with Madhurashtakam by Aadi Shankaracharya. This is a very special and proud moment for all of us. As our daughters proceed for the traditional Arangetram, they seek the blessings of Lord Natraja, Lord Ganesha, Their Gurus, Elders and all the well wishers. Cordially Invited !
