Debbie and I decided on a short overnight trip away to Stornoway. We had been over on a day trip previously. Watching the weather was a factor. Boarding the ferry in Ullapool with online booking using the CalMac app. The CalMac ferry we have found to be very relaxing with a very friendly crew. Food exceptional, a very comfortable and relaxing experience - very clean ship! Stornoway is clean and friendly. We stayed in the Stornoway Bed & Breakfast which is VERY near the Ferry terminal ( we were foot passengers) and It’s family owned business too. They redecorate every year and it shows - imaculate. Breakfast included form quite a sizeable menu too. Very good sleep overnight …. I can recomend this B&B. I decided to travel light hence filming with my iPhone 14 pro max which my DJI mike is not connecting to resulting in wind affecting some clips, but I’m no professional and hope this video throws some light on our short break? The standard video settings at 4K 30fps setting and x1 zoom works fairly well but zooming x2 etc deteriorated some of the clips .... Post processing with Davinci Resolve is still very new to me. I had issues with sound towards the end and mixed up quite a section of my timeline / video - sound simply disapeard hence adding voice over at the end. I found out why after publishing - I hade set auto back up within Davinci Resolve which once switched off resolved my missing sound issue and time line problems . Also the fact that my external hard drive is formated to exFAT which I think had corrupted part of the video so I’ll need to reformat to APFS since I no longer have a windows laptop anymore.
