Salt Creek Canyon Backpacking Trip

Three-day backpacking trip in the Needles District of Canyonlands National Park from Cathedral Butte down the Salt Creek Canyon to Squaw Flat. This rather remote route took some time and energy-consuming logistics, but well worth the efforts. The terrain and temperatures were diverse, and being able to experience the ruins, artifacts, and rock art in such a secluded area was amazingly rewarding. We hope they will remain in the same condition for generation to come. If anyone out there is planning to look for these ruins, I recommend picking up David Day's book: Canyonlands National Park Favorite Jeep Roads & Hiking Trails. We could not have found everything without it.
