We taste the Winemakers Blend from the Apothic wine label produced in California USA. This wine is a blend of Syrah or Shiraz, Zinfandel, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine is a beautiful rich red colour making it look very appetising. The colour is just on the cusp of having a hint of purple. On the nose, we were struggling to determine what we were smelling but then John M put his finger on it: Blueberry! The wine is very well balanced, the acidity, the tannins, the fruit, and the sweetness are just right, and the mouthfeel is also wonderful. At £9:00 this wine is excellent value. An outstanding wine for its price.
