It is located near the junction of the Deosai Road and the Astore–Srinagar road. There is checkpost nearby, referred to as Chilam Chowki, at and elevation 3869 metres above sea level 2: Burzil Top The Burzil Pass is an ancient mountain pass in northern Pakistan, and is part of the historic caravan route between the cities of Srinagar and Gilgit. 3: Minimarg Minimarg is a village in the Astore District of Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. It is situated on the bank of the Burzil Nala, approximately 36 km south of the Chilam Chowki checkpost. There is a road going north to Astore via the Burzil Pass. The average elevation is 2,844.6 metres above sea level. 4: Domel Domel inside Minimarg valley (2845m) is right at the Line of Control in Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) Pakistan. Minimarg was on the ancient trade route between Srinagar and Gilgit till 1948, when it became a hotly contested area between India and Pakistan. All cross-LOC movement stopped after that. 5: Rainbow Lake Located near a village named Domel, far from Minimarg valley of Astore District, in Gilgit Baltistan, Pakistan, Rainbow Lake is a small lake with tremendous beauty. The adjoining mountains and freshwater running from the streams add to the beauty of Rainbow Lake. The water of the lake is crystal clear and it changes color and shades ranging from turquoise to green during a different time of the day. Minimarg is located near Domel. It is a village of Astore. The Journey takes from Chilam to Minimarg approximately 02 hours. Many things you have to consider while going there 1. You need a permission from Pakistan Army 2. Arrive at 11.00 Am in a daytime at Chilam Chowki 3. Must have CNIC and Covid Test Report 4. Two-wheel drive cars are not allowed to go there only 4 x4 are allowed to visit at there 5. Bikes are allowed to go there. 6. You must departure before 03.00 pm 7. If you want to stay there you must contact the tent village administration and make a reservation there 8. 4 x 4 vehicles are available to provide you a service to reach there and return 9. Food are available at there 10. Asthmatic person should take their medicine Rainbow lake is a wonderful masterpiece of nature. Pakistan Army through their bravery captured the area and it is a home of Pakistan Army, and they are the protector and administrator of the area. Burzil Pass is an old mountain pass of this area which at that time connected Srinagar to Gilgit. The area of the Minimarg and Domel present the natural scene like Switzerland has.
