"Hi Restless Spirits! We are gonna hold another session of Bittersweet Memories in Design Experiences featuring Willis Kusuma from Willis Kusuma Architects. Willis Kusuma received a Master of Architecture from the University of Florida, USA in 1998 and has also spent a semester in Universidad Autonoma de Yucatan, Mexico. He was awarded Outstanding Academic Achievement by the University of Florida. In 1997, his award winning Lifeguard Station project for South Beach was exhibited in Miami City Hall. Upon completing his graduate studies, he moved to Southern California to work with Barry Berkus and Stenfors Pail Fekete Architects. From 2001 to 2004, he worked at Richard Meier and Partners, in Los Angeles, on San Jose Civic Center project. He was a jury of a student com petition at the University of Central Florida in 2003. In 2004, Willis Kusuma returned to Jakarta to begin his own practice, Wiilis Kusuma Architects. This office has since become one of the most recognized practices in the country. Some of his projects include GF House (2011), Cikajang Mix Use Building (2016). Jonas Photo Studio (2016), Twin House (WlP), Radio Dalam Office (WlP), Skye (2012), and Olivier (2015).
