Winterton-On-Sea circular walk in Norfolk on a bleak winter day

Winterton-on-Sea is a popular beach on the Norfolk Coast with it's vast area of Winterton Dunes Nature Reserve (also a Site of Special Scientific Interest) long stretches of beach and numerous paths to explore. There is a good sized carpark but be prepared to have cash as it doesn't accept card payments (there is a cashpoint in the village) The walk we chose is a circular walk taking in the Nature Reserve, farm tracks and the impressive ruins of All Saints Church, nestled in amongst trees and covered in ivy...perfect for getting great photos. If you're feeling hungry after your walk pay a visit to the local Fish and Chip shop in Winterton, very friendly owners and super tasty chips (lots to offer on their menu) The walks are very clearly signposted.
