Here are the pros and cons of the radius as we see it. Pros: Exceptional fit and finish. This is a high quality, well designed and executed product. Innovative. There really is nothing else like it in the market and it provides a very unique value that you can't find elsewhere at this price point. Speed. For hunting especially the radius provides capability to range and engage targets much faster than with a traditional rangefinder because you don't have to take your eye off your target or body off your rifle in order to range your target. With your dope card mounted to the rifle the radius makes the shooter far more lethal than before. Customer Service. I know from experience that Silencerco takes customer service seriously and stands behind their products 100%. Capability: As advertised the radius is excellent at quickly ranging out to 1000 yards even in poor conditions and has a unique scanning mode that eliminated the need for the user to hit a button at all in order to range a target. Cons: Cost to Distance. At $999 MSRP the radius is nearly double to cost as rangefinders like the Sig Kilo 2000 which are capable to ranging much further. In the case of the Kilo I have seen them range beyond 2000 yards and consistently range to 1 mile even in poor conditions and retail for just $499. In our test we found the radius struggle to range even 1100 or 1200 yards in poor conditions. However, the radius is not really in the same class as the Kilo 2000 and other more common rangefinders because the Radius is "Weapons Mounted" and adds tremendous value in other ways that these "comparables" cannot. Not the "End-All-Be-All" solution. As mentioned above the Radius doesn't fully replace my go-to range finder because it's not able to range out to the max distances that I may want to shoot such as 1 mile or even 2000 yards.
