After exploring the pretty old town and cool hipster neighbourhoods I rented and electric scooter and rode along the massive River Daugava. It was a scenic ride with lovely parks, grand old buildings and interesting art sculptures. It was a great way of seeing the city and covering large distances. I decided to go to the outskirts Riga to see what it had to offer. It was much larger than I expected and I got to see a good variety of different neighbourhoods.
