In this passage, Cain and Abel bring offerings to the Lord. God accepts Abel’s offering, but Cain’s is rejected. Instead of responding with repentance, Cain allows anger and jealousy to grow in his heart. God warns him that sin is “crouching at the door,” yet Cain ignores the warning and murders his brother. When confronted, Cain denies responsibility and is ultimately judged — yet even in judgment, God shows mercy by placing a mark on him for protection. ✨ Key Themes: • The heart behind true worship • The progression of unchecked sin • Personal responsibility before God • Justice and mercy intertwined 🙏 Reflection: Sin rarely explodes overnight — it grows when it is entertained. God warns us before we fall, calling us to master sin rather than be mastered by it. Even in discipline, His mercy is present. 📚 Scripture: Genesis 4:1–16 💬 Comment below: What stands out most to you in God’s warning to Cain? #Genesis #CainAndAbel #BibleStudy #SinAndGrace #Worship #Faith #Scripture #OldTestament “How Great Thou Art” words and music by Stuart K.
